Anneliese joined Frances O’Grady, TUC General Secretary, Will Scobie, Labour’s MP candidate for South Thanet, and trade unionist for a rally in Margate.

Anneliese said: “It was great to have the chance to speak at the Thanet Trade Union Action Rally alongside so many other fantastic speakers and guests. South Thanet is a key battleground in the fight against UKIP so I felt it was really important for me to join trade union representatives here to campaign against Nigel Farage and his nasty, divisive politics. Labour has a brilliant candidate in Will Scobie, a local councillor who is dedicated to being a strong voice for South Thanet.”

Other speakers at the rally included Paul Kenny, the General Secretary of GMB, Tony Burke, the Deputy General Secretary of Unite, Roger McKenzie, Assistant General Secretary of Unison, along with local council candidates.
