On Friday Anneliese and Richard Wilson (Labour's candidate for Guildford) visited the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford.
After a morning talking with local residents on the High Street Anneliese and Richard met ACM's Chris Hayne and Oliver Sussat who showed them round the state-of-the-art facilities which make up the academy. The ACM has been training artists, producers and business entrepreneurs for careers in the music industry since 1995 with Amelle Berrabah and Ed Sheeran amongst its alumni.
Anneliese said: "I really enjoyed my visit to the ACM. It was great to meet some of the students and see first-hand their passion for music."
Richard added: "Guildford is very proud to host the ACM. They combine nurturing creative talent with practical business and industrial acumen. By bringing 1,000 aspiring musicians to Guildford, the ACM helps foster the unique cultural vibrancy of the town. I was very impressed by the facilities and the enthusiasm of the students and staff when Anneliese and I were shown round today."
